Contemporary, comfortable and spacious cottages.  These one, two and three bedroom self-catering cottages  have been converted from the original steading on a working farm. They feature a superb level of modern equipment, a cottage for unassisted wheelchair users and a dog friendly cottage. They are suitable for all, of any age and at any time of year. For eco conservation the farmhouse uses a wind turbine to generate electricity and a 10,000 litre rain water harvester.

Here in Inverbervie, near Aberdeen on the North East coast of Scotland we have just opened these three new self catering cottages in 2009 and so they are now being introduced at special, very attractive weekly rates for 2010.

 

Ideally located the working farm cottages are centrally located for many activities:

  • Sea Angling & Boat Trips
  • Locally Golf is at Stonehaven, Auchenblae, Edzel & Montrose with the world’s greatest courses a few miles away  Aberdeen (28) & Carnoustie (33).
  • Activities in local sports centre.
  • Outdoor tennis.
  • Swimming  in Stonehaven and Montrose as well as the sea where scuba diving is popular.
  • Sandy beaches and rocky coves
  • Museums (including Lewis ‘Grassic’ Gibbon only 2 miles away - 3Km)
  • Castles - especially Dunottar
  • Horse riding
  • Hill Walking in the Angus Glens.

For shopping, theatre, cinema and a wide range of entertainment and night life Aberdeen has all the City highlights and even Dundee is reached in under an hour.

Environment around Self Catering Cottages

 

As a land based business, Anniston Farm is run in accordance with modern farming methods.  Cereals are produced for human consumption, the malting industry & livestock feed (registered Scottish Quality Cereals).

Honey bees are kept in hives beyond the woods opposite the cottage accommodation.  They play an important part in the pollination of some crops and wild flowers.  Peaceful yet so close to the lively City of Aberdeen.
